CAWEE organized seminar with Public Procurement Agency team on Women in SMEs Accessing Public Procurement on May 13, 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This event was part of the STITCH project that CAWEE is implementing with its partners: Oxfam, FEMNET (African Women’s Development & Communications Network) and the EU.

This seminar focused on discussing existing public procurement legislation and desk research on women in SMEs accessing public procurement, discussing why involving women in SMEs in public procurement, their challenges and recommendations for the way forward.  The outcome of the seminar underlined the challenges women in SMEs face in accessing public procurement and suggested remedial measures and recommendations for the way forward.
