Through the generous support that, the Center for Accelerated Women’s Economic Empowerment (CAWEE) secured from Helios Investment Partners LLP, company based in London, UK, one of the best socially responsible investment companies; the Center has started implementing the project “Empowering 10 Young Women through the Provision of Skills Training in Tailoring”.
The skill training is given to 10 vulnerable young girls who can’t afford to pay for such kinds of trainings, to empower them through the provision of tailoring skills training.
The skills training started on March 26, 2019, which is organized for 3 months, at Next Fashion Design College, the first private Design College in Ethiopia, where this company is member of CAWEE, The trainees are expected to acquire the basic skills and knowledge of tailoring and designing. Apart from the skills training, CAWEE also provides to the trainees, trainings in enterprise development and life skills trainings.
