CAWEE Organized Consultative Forum with Ethiopian
Procurement and Asset Management Professionals Association

CAWEE in collaboration with Next Fashion Design College organized graduation ceremony for 25 marginalized women returnees from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) July 15, 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. In this project funded by Womankind International UK, the women returnees were provided marketable skills in tailoring where  during  the  event;  trainees  were demonstrating their skills by presenting their products at the fashion show organized.

 

The Executive Director of CAWEE, Nigest Haile welcomed the trainees and invited guests, expressing her happiness that the planned skills training was successfully finalized. She encouraged the trainees to do their level best to use this skill to generate income to change their lives and the lives of their families. The Owner & Manager of Next Fashion Design College delivered her remarks in introducing the program and the trainees.

Trainees were given the opportunity to provide their opinions and reflections on how best the skills training was instrumental in adding value to their lives.

In demonstrating their skills, trainees were able to showcase different products they produced during the training at a fashion show organized during the graduation ceremony.

In celebrating their accomplishments, trainees were handed over certificates by the Advisor of the State Minister, H.E. Alemitu Oumt, Ministry of Women and Social Affairs.

Beyond the provision of marketable skills, Next Fashion Design College was engaged in facilitating employment opportunities to the trainees, where all the trainees were grateful that they were able to secure full time employment opportunities
