CAWEE Signed MoU with AAW

The Center for Accelerated for Women’s Economic Empowerment (CAWEE) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Africa for Africa Women (AAW) on November 10, 2017, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The South African delegation was led by Mrs. Bea Hacula, President of AAW accompanied with Mrs. Bonnie Mzimba, CEO of AAW.

The purpose of the MoU is to provide a framework of cooperation and facilitate collaboration between CAWEE and AAW in areas of common interest specifically in providing technical support and trainings to the projects identified by both parties in respect of promoting economic empowerment among women.

 

The MoU between CAWE and AAW agreement was officially signed on November 10, 2017 in the presence CAWEE Board members.

The MoU signing ceremony was followed on cutting of a cake where Mrs. Bea and Mrs. Nigest were accompanied by the Board members of CAWEE.

During the signing of the MoU at CAWEE’s office, CAWEE Board members, who were also present during the signing ceremony, had also the opportunity to discuss with the South African delegation on how best the partnership and networking among the members of those two organizations can get established and strengthened.

During its stay in Addis Ababa, the South African delegation had the opportunity to visit Enat Bank, as AAW is in the process of establishing the South African Women’s Cooperative Bank, and took the opportunity to learn from the best practices of Enat Bank.

 

In establishing partnership with Enat Bank, the Africa for Africa Women (AAW) signed MoU with Enat Bank. During the Signing ceremony, officials of Enat Bank and representatives of the South African Embassy in Ethiopia were present,

Finalizing its visit at Enat Bank, the South Africa delegation had the opportunity to visit CAWEE member companies: Garden of Coffee, Salem’s Design, Lidia Leather, Entoto Bete Artisan and Muya Ethiopia.
